Miesmacher is basically a group of friends who makes short films. For now every our film has been related to Star Wars and its rich world. We have had though also other ideas not considering Star Wars. Our group consist of three guys (Johannes, Jaakko, Max) who have known each other since childhood.

Miesmacher started in winter 2001 on a boring day when Max and Johannes were doing some school project. Jaakko suggested then that we could do a film with his webcam and well that was it. Miesmacher made in the next couple of hours its first short film which was called Quality. The name itself describes that film the best. In the following summer (2001) we made our second film which was called The Bunny Force. We finally got a real video camera but we didn't have so much enthusiasm to actually film it so it wasn't that good film either. Effects were much better though than in Quality. We even participated in Assembly computer festival 2001 Wild demo competition but it was eliminated. We soon decided that we have to concentrate more on the story and filming in the next film. And so we did in 2002 summer. The film was called The Saberianist. We had a digital video camera in use and picture quality was much better than before. The film has great visual effects and even a story. It came fourth in Assembly 2002 computer festival Wild demo competition. Until this day it has been quieter in making films because of army and such but now we are back in business and we have a new film in production! Check out Future plans. The Saberianist |
